This week’s writing prompt is a sentence: Alison hated eating leftovers; she hated cooking them even more.
Hello there and welcome to another week of writing prompts! Today, I thought I would post a picture and write a prompt from it.
This week’s writing prompt comes hours after the 2016 American presidential election. Thank God the nightmare is over. Many people had election stress this time around, even my daughter who isn’t old enough to vote. As a country, many citizens are embarrassed, appalled, disappointed and a host of other adjectives at the three-ring-circus our nation’s leaders have portrayed themselves. And it isn’t like it can all get erased. Fifty years from now, history students will wonder what on earth got into these people?
I can hardly stand to hear about our embarrassing election fiasco or either of the candidates. Let alone watch them. For this week’s writing prompt, I thought I’d show a video from Canada showing two dogs, one as each candidate. I needed some comic relief and perhaps you do also.
Did anybody miss me last week? Sorry, I didn’t post. I was busy preparing for a train trip. So for our writing prompt today, I thought we’d write about what comes to mind when you think of ‘train trip’. Have you ever been on a train trip? Would you like to go on a train trip?
This week’s writing prompt is all about where inspiration comes from. People often ask me where I got the idea for Cookie Encounter, and I have to say that when I started writing it, I had no ideas for the who, what, when, where or how. I thought the book I started writing on November 1st, 2007 would be a mystery!
This week, an idea for an invention came to mind that I would like someone to invent for tall people like myself. For this week then, the writing prompt is about inventions. Either one you already love, or one you would like someone to invent.
You can read about my idea below.
