I’m sorry I haven’t posted about my trip to the Tucson Festival of Books yet. I will get to it. I wasn’t anticipating my son being sick the night after I got home or getting sick myself the next day. I am still adjusting to the time change and since our first day of spring yesterday was in the 80s, not so much the temperature change. 🙂
For this week’s writing prompt, I thought I’d share just a little about my trip to Tucson, where I attended the Tucson Festival of Books over the weekend. Let’s just say that this setup is humongous and a little overwhelming. I just got back from Tucson last night.

Since this is a busy time for everyone, including yours truly, this is going to be a very short writing prompt. Here it is:
So last week’s election was very interesting here in the U.S. and I’m hopeful for our country’s future. For this week’s writing prompt, I thought we’d discuss being the boss, or the president, or whatever the top dog is in your particular country. Everyone wants to do things differently, to make changes or improvements.
This week’s writing prompt comes hours after the 2016 American presidential election. Thank God the nightmare is over. Many people had election stress this time around, even my daughter who isn’t old enough to vote. As a country, many citizens are embarrassed, appalled, disappointed and a host of other adjectives at the three-ring-circus our nation’s leaders have portrayed themselves. And it isn’t like it can all get erased. Fifty years from now, history students will wonder what on earth got into these people?
I can hardly stand to hear about our embarrassing election fiasco or either of the candidates. Let alone watch them. For this week’s writing prompt, I thought I’d show a video from Canada showing two dogs, one as each candidate. I needed some comic relief and perhaps you do also.
The other morning when I couldn’t sleep, my mind wandered as it tends to do. I thought about all the things I’ve said in the past that I will never ______. Do you have any of those? Have you had to explain your new stance on things?
So, this week’s prompt is all about the “I nevers” in your life.
