I don’t know about you, but I love all things cookies! Maybe that’s why I titled my first book Cookie Encounter 🙂 Anyway, later today I’ll be drawing all the winners for my ‘Tis the Season to Give (Away) giveaway! Actually, make that my daughter, Mariah, will be drawing them, she loves to help me!
An author from Goodreads, Kay MacLeod, put together an Indie Author Advent Calendar starting today. Each day she will feature two different authors and their book(s). Lots of genres will be represented all month.
This is the Christmas season and time to give! I love this time of year and love giving gifts, so this is a win-win for you! 🙂 They say it’s always better to give than to receive, so I’m going to be giving away some prizes on National Cookie Day which is December 4th. Didn’t know there was a National Cookie Day? Me either until just a few weeks ago.
I wanted to thank you all for the great response to my giveaway of Cookie Encounter on GoodReads. The response was fantastic with over 1100 people entering! One winner is from Pennsylvania and one from West Virginia.
I’ve been busy watching a couple webinars to help me get my book more readily acceptable for libraries. I am excited about what I’ve learned and will be busy over the next several weeks working on an updated version of Cookie Encounter (just adding category info for librarians). That’s what I’ve been up to lately.
For this week’s prompt, let’s talk about pets. Are you a dog person or a cat person or a fish or gerbil type person? My prompt answer is below.
Just a short post to let you know since it’s August and most school kids go back to school this month, that I’m running a Back-to-School giveaway of Cookie Encounter on GoodReads starting today and running through the 30th. I’ll give away two signed copies, so if you’re in the U.S., Canada, or GB, you can enter if you’re interested.
I’m super excited to let you know that today, over on the blog, Reading is my SuperPower, Carrie interviewed me about writing and Cookie Encounter. She’s also running a giveaway for me, where I’m giving away two signed copies of Cookie Encounter.
This coming Saturday, June 25th at 1 p.m., I’ll be appearing at a nearby library to speak about my journey from book reviewer to author and then three ways to fit writing into a busy life. It should be fun!
This library is in O’Fallon, IL and they have recently remodeled. This is how the stairs look now–very cool!
