Yay for spring! We are finally, finally going to be warm here in southern Illinois. And by warm, I mean 86 degrees and better this week! Ok, so now we’ve gone from winter to summer overnight. I think spring is coming. Pretty sure. I think. We haven’t gotten that much snow like the north or the east, but our temps have gone down, down recently and we had to bring in more wood for the stove. However, this week the sun is shining again and the temps will go up to the 60s. Continue reading

I’m ready to be done with our home schooling this year. I feel the itch to write more and put away the school books. Luckily, we only have about 6 weeks or so of school left. And, a new coffee shop just opened up in town, which means I can write there for an hour or so before the library opens in the mornings this summer! Win, win! Continue reading

Earlier this month I traveled to suburbs of Memphis, TN, to Germantown and Collierville. The drive down was smooth (although a little windy) and we had a nice room at the Hyatt. My daughter, Molly, and my mom took the trip with me and hung out while I was in workshops. Continue reading
