In the Writer’s House #43: Writing Update, health issues

Hello Readers,

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. My July flew by with summer reading programs, and three family birthdays.

Then I woke up on August 1st in excruciating pain in my back and neck and couldn’t get back to sleep. After several sleepless nights, three trips to the ER, a CT scan and MRI, it was determined I had pinched nerves in my neck. I will see a neurosurgeon again tomorrow morning to see what my next option is after a failed cortisone injection.

I have spent most of my time sitting either with a heating pad or ice on my neck/back and taking meds that make me dizzy or drowsy. Although, now I’ve gotten used to them. But I am not driving and we haven’t started our home school year yet, either.

Needless to say, I have not been writing or working on my next novel, Accident Encounter. I’m not sure when it will come out. If I need surgery, the book most likely won’t come out until next year.

I just wanted to write a quick update about what was going on with my writing. Prayers for healing and getting back to writing are much appreciated!

Hanging in there and anxiously awaiting getting back to writing,

Michelle
