Hello Readers,
How are you? Has fall arrived where you are? We are now wavering between the 90s and the 60s, with some nights coming up that will be in the low 40s. Perhaps baking weather has finally arrived! My kids will be happy for cinnamon rolls,
pumpkin bread and chocolate zucchini cake! (So will I for that matter!)
Recently, I was at the base library to work on my next novel, Accident Encounter, and there was a neat Local Author Display. How cool is that? The article in the picture is the one that appeared in Family Magazine, the free magazine that patrons can pick up at the commissary if they have base access. You can learn more in an earlier post here.
In other news, I’m gearing up for this year’s Fall Fest in my town. I will have two books for sale this year, both Cookie Encounter and Heir Force. I am excited to meet new readers, so if you are near southern Illinois, come see me! I will have giveaways and freebies at my booth.
I am plugging away on Accident Encounter and am enjoying the story again. I was stuck for a while, but figured out my problem and have been happily working away. I hope to get it out by next year’s Fall Fest, so that gives me a tight deadline, but it should be doable. I hope. I think. I’ll keep you posted!
I am 5 books ahead on my Goodreads reading challenge for this year! I stayed up late recently reading an excellent suspense novel by Helen MacInnes. My reading wrap ups are still a little behind, but I’m working on July’s. I’ll try to get it out soon!
Happy reading for now!
~~Michelle
It must have been such a thrill to see your books in the local author display.
I think I will come around to your house for morning tea! Cinnamon rolls, pumpkin bread, chocolate zucchini cake…yum!

Oh, I wish you could! I’d love to have you over! It would be great to meet you, Kristah! Maybe someday one of us will be close enough to visit the other.

Hi Michelle, I have read….and enjoyed your post! However, after 15 minutes of trying, I am giving up on replying since I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong. Durn. Miss seeing you, but hope you’re getting lots of work done. I am doing NOTHING, but am hoping to get ready for NaNo soon.
Guess I miss the challenge of a word count.
Hope to see you at Fall Fest.
Bev.
