In the Writer’s House #36: A Great Article in Family Mag! #militarylife #milspouse/ret #gift

School is going well so far around here, and we are anticipating when the fall temps will arrive. My kids are waiting for baked goodies, like cinnamon rolls, pumpkin bread, and chocolate zucchini cake.

Surprise!

book cover for Heir Force

I got a call last week from a church friend who said, “I’m reading about a famous author in my commissary magazine.” I was excited to hear the article about Heir Force appears in this month’s Family Magazine, available for free at U.S. military commissaries worldwide. I didn’t know when the article would come out, so it was a nice surprise!

If your library doesn’t have a copy yet, no worries! Your library can order it from Baker & Taylor, OverDrive, Ingram, or wherever fine books are sold. The ebook is also available for iTunes, Nook, Kobo, and just about everywhere! And if you’re not near a commissary, any library can order Heir Force also.

Goodreading

I am currently four books ahead in my reading goals for the year. I am happily still making my way through the ridiculous library pile from earlier this year (see photo). You can read more about my library book habits here.

All 83 of my library books!

Upcoming Author Event

In October, I’m happy to say that I will be signing books at Mascoutah’s annual Chili Fest/Fall Festival. I’ll be in my tent ready to meet readers, new and old. I’ll have copies of Cookie Encounter and Heir Force this year.

Accident Encounter

I am chipping away at my next novel, Accident Encounter, book two in my Chance Encounter series. It is a slow process as most novel writing is, but I’ll get to the end, eventually!

That’s it from my corner of the world. How is it in yours?

Happy reading!

~~Michelle

  1. That’s a lovely surprise to have your book appear in Family Magazine! Hopefully it will attract lots of new readers to your wonderful novels!
    Wow, so many library books!
I am just in the planning stages at the moment of my next novel. I love this stage when it is all new and exciting, developing the characters, working out the plot, doing chapter outlines.
Happy reading from my corner of the world to yours!
