In the Writer’s House #24

Happy Wednesday! The sun finally came out after days and days of rain. Spring is in the air! And I’ve noticed the days are getting longer. Yay! Also, I’m seeing and hearing more robins lately. Listening to robins singing is one of my favorite sounds of spring.

I don’t have a lot going on this week, but I am headed to a short writer’s conference in Tennessee next month, I’m excited about. My mom and my second oldest daughter are going to travel with me and they’ll hang out while I’m in workshops on self-publishing and other writing topics. And hopefully we’ll check out a bookstore or library or two!

I seem to be a little behind on my reading goals for the year. I’m 4 books behind right now. But I’ll catch up eventually, don’t worry! I have all year, right? And since February is a short month, I’ll be working on my reading wrap up soon.

A Great Review of Cookie Encounter

I’m always checking up on my stats, reviews, sales, etc of my two books. I found this latest review for Cookie Encounter, which was so lovely! These kinds of reviews help me to keep going on tough and slow days.

My Newsletter Winner!

I’m happy to announce my February newsletter winner! Audrey S, from South Carolina won the romance story collection and a $20 Barnes and Noble gift card. If you don’t get my newsletter, feel free to sign up in the box to the right. Each month I will have some simple way you can help me as a new author and then you get entered into that month’s drawing. I make it really easy, I promise!

My current project

My new book, the Christmas Cookie one, is not going well. I’m still in chapter 1 and don’t feel like I know what to write. I might have to shelve it for now and work on something else. I have a couple other Chance Encounter novels started, maybe I’ll blow the dust off one of those.

Are you seeing any signs of spring where you are?

Happy reading!
