Remember how I said in last week’s IWH how awesome the week was, with winning a Goodreads book, a good friend visiting and other fun stuff happening? This week is like the exact opposite.

Our kiddos at the nature preserve we went to last week.

First, there was Las Vegas. I can’t even wrap my mind around that tragic event. Still processing. Then, my second oldest daughter, Molly, and I had some sort of upper respiratory viral infection and I spent most of Monday and half of Tuesday in bed.

I’m just now up and getting caught up on laundry, dishes, and other cleaning that hasn’t been done for the last few days. But thank God, I feel better today. I just sound like a barking seal.

Tuesday evening we managed to attend a local National Night Out (NNO)event at our local park and it was well attended. My oldest two watched a K-9 demo and talked with the police officer afterward. Molly is interested in being a dog handler either in the Air Force or for a local police department.

Twenty Years!

This weekend my hubby and I are celebrating 20 years of marriage! We can’t believe it’s been that long, it seems to go faster every year. We are going away to a small town in Missouri and are staying in a B&B. I’ll post pics next week (maybe).
