Hello,
I’m a day late this week, but I figured you’d all forgive me, right? Right? Oh, good. Thanks. We were in Kansas City, Missouri this weekend visiting with my parents and my brothers and sister-in-law. Had a good time, eating barbecue and playing the game ‘Things’, which always brings some laughs.
And then Tuesday was hubby’s birthday, so somehow I’ve just gotten behind and seemed like I’ve lost a day.

Anyway, I’m still working on the cover design coming up with elements I like and colors. See below. Keep in mind, this is just a sketch of what I like, not the final thing. The final cover will be much better, trust me. What do you think? Of course, it will be better without all the square edges, but this is what Canva has. My cover designer will have access to much more.
I’m also working on the June reading wrap-up, I’m not sure what is taking me so long. I’ll post that soon. That’s about it from my corner of the world.
Have a great day!

Do you really want opinions? That sounds scary … I think the title needs more punch or drama or something. It looks too much like plain ol’ typed words on a paper. 🙂 You can always delete a comment, right? LOL!

I didn’t work very hard on the font, just to put the title on there. I was working mostly on the items I wanted on the cover, to see how they look together. No need to delete your comment! 🙂

Love reading your posts. Also love the four pics (esp the Arch!) on your cover. So exciting! Maybe some (faint?) red, white and blue coloring on the blue cover?

Thank you, Lisa! Yes, I may add some other color to the background also. This is the ‘rough draft’ of the cover so far. Thanks for your input!

Good to see how your cover is progressing. Can’t wait to see the final version! I am working on mine at the moment. I have been doing an online course in Photoshop Artistry to help me with designing my own book covers. It’s a challenge, but I think I’m getting there!
