Writing Prompt Wednesday #70

Hello there,

I’m sorry I haven’t posted about my trip to the Tucson Festival of Books yet. I will get to it. I wasn’t anticipating my son being sick the night after I got home or getting sick myself the next day. I am still adjusting to the time change and since our first day of spring yesterday was in the 80s, not so much the temperature change. 🙂

Anyway, for this week’s prompt, I thought I would post a picture and write a short prompt for that and start writing the post about the festival.

The collection of planes rested in the desert, waiting to be useful again. Either to help fix other planes or to be parted out and recycled. The planes had done their best, flying over enemy lands, rescuing missing patriots, or delivering supplies to those in need. As they sat resting, they swapped stories of adventure, and narrow escapes. And relived the glory days of seeing humans cheer at the goods they brought in. Hopefully, one day they could return to those happier times.

What does this picture say to you?

Happy writing!

~~Michelle
