Today’s writing prompt, is an update on what’s going on my life. Today I’m making preparations for my trip to the Tucson Festival of Books.

I fly out on Thursday morning. I’m packing, rethinking, packing less, packing more, you know what I mean. I’m trying not to take anything unnecessary.

Copies of Cookie Encounter have been ordered and delivered to Sarah’s house, waiting to be signed and sold. I’m both nervous and excited. I love to travel and don’t mind flying, I just wish I didn’t have to go alone. It’s much more fun with my hubby or a friend.

The weather there should be fantastic, almost like it has been here, if you can believe it. Sunshine, 70 degrees, yep, I can take that for a few days. And spending time with Sarah? Priceless! 🙂

Besides the festival activities, we’re planning on a Mom’s Night Out (MNO) at Red Lobster, one of our favorite places. Neither of our hubby’s like to go there, so it’s a perfect choice.

And of course, we’ll be looking at books. Lots and lots of books on the University of Arizona campus. I can’t imagine it. I will probably be completely overwhelmed. I will try to remember to take pictures and post them next week.
