I don’t know about you, but when we get into mid-October, I like things to be cool. I’m done with 90 degree weather. Last week was perfect: cool mornings and evenings, warm days. A wonderful way to read in the early mornings with hot tea, and in the evenings to read with a mug of cocoa.
Here is my ‘stack’ of books to read right now:
But, on this, the 17th day of October 2016, what is it going to be? A whopping 92 degrees! Not what I have in mind for curling up with a blanket and a book. Tomorrow will be around 85. But, on Friday, a mere 62. A thirty degree difference from Monday to Friday. You gotta love this Midwest weather, because if you don’t, just wait a day or two. Or four.

Our weather is very up and down at the moment, too. We are mid-spring here and never quite sure what it is going to do from one day to the next. We have had a few really hot days, but the evenings are still cool enough to curl up with a good book and a hot drink.
