Hello All,
I’ve been busy watching a couple webinars to help me get my book more readily acceptable for libraries. I am excited about what I’ve learned and will be busy over the next several weeks working on an updated version of Cookie Encounter (just adding category info for librarians). That’s what I’ve been up to lately.
For this week’s prompt, let’s talk about pets. Are you a dog person or a cat person or a fish or gerbil type person? My prompt answer is below.
I had cats growing up and like them well enough. We had a cat a few years ago until one day he didn’t come home. Funny story, he was readopted by a neighbor and we learned of this a few years later when one of the kids saw him.
But now we have a dog. His name is Ripley and he’s a poodle/Bichon Frise mix. He’s hyperactive (when he’s not sleeping) and sometimes prevents me from working–he tries very hard anyway. I wanted a lap dog, but seriously??
What about you? Are you a pet person? Share with us!

I am very much a pet person, as you know!! My daughter is as well and has captured a gecko and has a little home for him to live in. She has also caught numerous other “pets” to include grasshoppers, jewel bugs, and tons of water bugs each by the way the name of Jerry. As for what I have been doing lately, I have been preparing for school and missing those I have left pretty fiercely (one particular family more than others)…;)

How are your pets doing? We miss you guys, too!
And I am no way ready to look at the school books!

I love cats and dogs both. My husband however is on the extreme other side of the fence. So, therefore, we are pet free. I still very much miss my lap dog.

That must be hard. I like them both too, but some cats can be stand-offish.

I am a dog person. We had a beloved family dog when I was growing up. As an adult, I have always had a dog in the house. Right now we have a Jack Russell/Foxy/Bichon Frise cross called Finn. Like yours, he also does his best to distract me from writing, but he also provides me with inspiration for my stories. I can’t imagine my home without a dog in it.
I love Ripley’s woollen jumper!

I’d love to see a pic of Finn, with the additional mixture in him. It’s nice to have a loving dog, but sometimes I need my lap for the laptop 🙂

I like cats, we’ve always had cats, but I like dogs too. I like small dogs, medium dogs and even big dogs. We’ve never had dogs though, my husband says no way. I’m lucky we get a cat, Aaron wants me to be a little happy anyway 💕

Cats are nice too, if they are friendly. That’s great! Thanks for sharing.
