Hello Readers,

Today, I thought I’d show you my handmade pencil bookmarks I offer at my signings. As a writer I love pens in fun colors, notebooks, tablets, and the pencil. I used to have a pencil pillow I made in home-ec while in high school and regret getting rid of it.

Since I scrapbook (every blue moon or so) I wondered if I could make a pencil out of scraps. I measured a store bought bookmark and made a template for the base and then cut separate pieces for the eraser, metal ring, yellow barrel, and wood. Kind of cute!

I add a label of marketing information and put it on the backside of the bookmark. This way the front looks nicer.
