Hello Readers,
This week’s writing prompt is on….cookies. I love cookies. I could be Cookie Monster’s best friend…except we’d fight over the cookies!
Here’s my prompt on cookies:
I love just about any kind of cookie, but homemade are the best. Peanut butter, chocolate chip, oatmeal chocolate chip, chocolate drop, you name it. Sugar, coconut, macadamia nut. My least favorite is oatmeal raisin, and even those I like.

Blondie Brownies are our favorite as a family! Think chocolate chip cookie bar… warm is the best! My personal favorite is a shortbread cookie of pretty much any kind – I like white chocolate cranberry shortbread cookies, pecan sandie shortbread cookies, shortbread cookies with dark chocolate, any kind…. It is way too hot to bake any these days so I must purchase them at the grocery store. Not the same rich buttery, right-out-of-the-oven flavor, but good enough to tide me over until cooler weather prevails!

Shortbreads are good, too! And yes, unfortunately it’s too hot to bake right now 😦 I always try and put some in the freezer when I bake to save for days like this, but with a family of 6, seldom do any make it to the freezer!!

Hmmm …. where do I start? Shortbread with tea, definitely. Monster cookies … chocolate chips, nuts, M&Ms, and whatever else you can throw in! Oatmeal chocolate chip. Ok, I’ll stop now. I’m hungry.

Oh, yes, the monster cookie! How could I forget those? I used to get those at the mall as a teenager. And yes, I’m getting hungry too.

How can we be mother/daughter, oatmeal raisin is one of my favorites ?!!😋 I like oatmeal chocolate chip, and the Girl Scout Samoa are a favorite too.

I love orange chocolate chip. I enjoy playing around with cookie and shortbread recipes and adding things from my garden such as lavender flowers, or rosemary.

Chocolate chip addict over here! I know is a basic cookie but it’s literally my all time fav! Raisin and oatmeal are my least favorite too but I’ll still eat them if they are my only options😏

Years ago my mother-in-law gave me a recipe for the “World’s Best Cookie.” It had everything but the kitchen sink in it, but she was right. It was awesome. Haven’t made them for years, but this prompt has “prompted me” 🙂 to look it up and make some. Have to wait till my next trip to the grocery store, tho, since the ingredient list is endless.
