Hello Readers,
With Memorial Day around the corner here in the States, I’d thought I would come up with something related to that.
My prompt:
Memorial Day can be celebrated in many ways, by attending speeches at capitols or parks, going to services at cemeteries, or just getting together with family or friends and enjoying their company. I’m not much of a grave person; I don’t visit them except at the funeral. As a believer in Christ, I know that the person is not really there anymore and that they are in heaven, rejoicing with our Savior, walking streets of gold and at total peace. I can’t wait to experience it myself!
How do you celebrate Memorial Day? Share with us!

Conversely, I like going to cemeteries. I’m not sure why, but it is peaceful. I appreciate the fact that we give space and honor to those who have gone before us. I try to get to a military cemetery on Memorial Day because I want to take the time out of my long weekend to remember and be grateful. This weekend we will be at the National Cemetery in San Diego. Which, if you haven’t ever been there, is one gorgeous work of memorial art.
